What is Matey?

Matey is a new creative platform designed to help creators collaborate and manage their projects to completion. Whether you’re a creative professional or just getting started, Matey can help you network and find local and global projects.

How does Matey work?

Matey allows you to search for people and projects, both locally and globally, based on specific roles.

What are projects?

You can create a project to post on the platform to find other users who have the roles you need to complete the project.

How do I create a project?

You can create projects on the Your Projects screen by entering a title, description, location and all the roles you need filled. Other users can request to join your project and you can approve or decline their request from the Team screen.

How do I manage teams?

Once you’ve assembled your team, you can reassign the roles of both yourself and your teammates.

How do I remove a teammate?

If someone on your team isn’t doing their job, you can remove them. Go to the Team screen and press the Option icon. From here you can choose “Remove From Project” to remove them.

What happens when a project ends?

When you end a project, your team will be notified and the project will be moved to your archived list.

How do I add work to my profile?

You can add work to your profile by pressing the Plus icon on the top right corner of your profile screen. From here, you can upload up to 10 images from your camera roll per item of work. You can also add your roles and add a title and description.

How do I add people to my contacts?

You can add someone to your contacts by going to their profile and pressing the Add Contact button on the top right corner of the screen.

What are bookmarks?

Bookmarks allow you to save projects you’re interested in. Your bookmarks can be found on your profile and are private.

How can I send messages?

You can send messages to anyone on the app. Simply go to their profile and press the Chat button to start a chat. You can also see your chats on the Chats screen. If you are in a project, you are automatically added to the project’s team chat.

How can I delete my account?

You can delete your account by going to your account settings and pressing the “Delete account” option. All of your data will be deleted immediately and won’t be recoverable.
